Winter Weddings...too cold for many but too beauti

Winter Weddings...too cold for many but too beautiful to not consider!! Cayman and Aaron came from the South, Louisiana and Texas to be exact, so their families could frolick in the snow and celebrate a beautiful wedding.
Dalton Ranch provided a beautiful setting with a recent snowstorm blanketing the golf course and the Red Cliffs.

The lovely ladies @elsajag and @willavaughan with @heirloomsdesign brought the pieces together.

That was a beautiful wedding!! Cheyenne and Brian

That was a beautiful wedding!! Cheyenne and Brian have been together for nearly a decade, and the love they have cultivated in that time was palpable the entire day.
Their officiant Arno lead an amazing ceremony, and brought incredible energy and love to a Hawaiian themed event. The union was even blessed with sea water and tea leaves, finalized with the blowing of a conch.

Cakes were crafted by @theyellowcarrot and were a sight to see... too bad I missed the photo opp before they were devoured.
Whoever brought the baklava deserves a medal. It was a mystery lady not in attendance, but she made two massive pans of epic baklava. I don't even really like sweet stuff and I ate 4 pieces. 🤔
IT WAS SO GOOD. 🤤

The dance party was well attended and I felt blessed to be a part of such an amazing day.

Another wedding for @standalonedjs and what an incredible event!! The crew at @tellurideweddings and @tellurideski did an amazing job creating an unforgettable day and ceremony for Haleigh and Gil, and Allreds Restaurant backed it up with an amazing meal, tasty vino, and a solid bar to keep the vibe rolling until I filled the dancefloor til the wee hours!! I get so wrapped up DJing, that sometimes I forget to snap pics of that portion of the evening, as I did on this occasion. Perhaps that speaks to the focus and enjoyment I find in my work!! All the details were impeccable and the crew at @glacierclubco nailed everything; from presentation, to amazing food, tasty beverages, and just keeping everyone happy and taken care of. The ladies at @aprilsgardenweddings spruced up the joint, and my favorite planners @sw_naturalbeauty and @willavaughan
from @heirloomsdurango brought it all together... #ladiesinthecoolhats killed it again!! The dance party was fun and spanned the generations of music and participants!

Thanks to @courtneybulen, her mom Janine and dad Dave, and Zack Yaroch and his whole clan for letting me rock their big day. Events like this are the reason I love my work.

Ten years ago, my best buddy convinced me that buying a sound system and going into the mobile DJ business was a good idea. Stand Alone Entertainment was born from that inspiration, and borrowed a name from our garage record label we recorded under: Stand Alone Records. He helped me during some very rough years when my heart condition was undiagnosed. Came to carry speakers when I couldn't stand more than a few hours at a time. He also instilled great confidence in me to create awesome events for our hundreds of clients.
Yesterday at the Durango Wedding Expo marked TEN YEARS!!! of Stand Alone Entertainment, and I wanted to take a second to thank Zac Peterson and his wife Jenny, (and his kids Ollie and Taiya) for encouraging me to follow my passion and being there during some tough times. For taking weekends to work with me when your family was growing. For being a great brother and business partner for the last ten years. I purchased Zac's share of Stand Alone last year, but he will always be a part of it's legacy. Thanks bro.

What a majestic location for a ceremony!!! Faith and Ryan braved some wind to get married at 10,590 ft, and this view and their lovely ceremony was the reward. Gorrono Ranch at @tellurideski made for an excellent reception location, and the staff crafted an amazing meal while providing meticulous service.
Shout out to @jaclynn.shaw for her great work planning and executing the day, and a big thank you!!! for the referral.
I hope to be back soon for more events in this amazing place!

What an incredible wedding!! Shout out to Brooke and Cameron for planning an incredible day!
What they couldn't plan for...was the power outage at Dante's during the Best Man's toast! We went #blackout at 8pm!!
Being the #prepared #boyscout I am, I pulled power from the generator I use for ceremonies and kept the party rocking!! We used the dozens of candles they had on their tables to light the common areas.
This dance party was #rowdy...and literally #lightsout!
I received many thanks and compliments for saving the day, but the truth is, I got into DJing weddings because I wanted to give people a higher level of service than most people have come to expect. I love what I do and today was another opportunity for me to embody that philosophy.
